I WILL NEVER NOT REBLOG THIS!!!!!!!!!!
Its sad because Draco gets so much hate because of the things he did to the trio in their early years at Hogwarts, but no one really bothers to look at this from his perspective. He was constantly forced to be cruel to them because of who his family was. I know that the whole point was that his parents actually cared for him but you know half the time I don’t think they acted like they did, so maybe he didn’t know it. which is why he worked so hard to make them proud. Because his father was part of Voldemort’s inner circle he was immediately sucked into the Dark side whether he wanted to be or not. Essentially, he was forced to take the mark because he thought it was what he wanted, but he never had time to look at the repercussions of taking the mark. He only took it because he thought it would finally make his father proud of him and maybe just one time he could smile at him and praise him, because you know it had never happened before. Then he was told he had to kill someone, something he could never do, and was told that his life and his family’s lives were at stake as to whether he succeeded or not. Then he was so terrified that he couldn’t even try to preform the task correctly. All during Half-Blood Prince it talks about how drawn and thin and pale he looks, he had panic attacks and cried in the bathrooms to Moaning Myrtle for God’s sake. Even Harry notices and on the night of the attack Harry knows he couldn’t kill Dumbledore and he should have figured out that Draco didn’t want to do this anymore and he should have helped him. Draco really did not have a choice, and I really wish more people could see and respect that
I pretty much read all of Isolation today while attempting for work on my knitting. My husband playing battlefield 4 beta next to me. Constantly glancing at me with worry because hey…I’m just here reading this amazing story, crying like a baby, and attempting to cable knit a pair of gloves. Nothing is coming out right.
And yet…I regret nothing!!!
Well except for the whole Theo thing. *whimpers*
Not even halfway through chapter 46, and Bexchan is already ripping out my heart.
"A father should always fight for his son, but Lucius had not tried. He had just stood there like a passive bystander, accepting whatever Voldemort had demanded or inflicted without any attempt to fight it.
And he had killed Theo.
He had killed Theo.”
No, that’s okay. I didn’t need my feels, anyway.
"YOU DON’T DESERVE HER!" he blurted furiously, slamming his balled fist down on the table. "YOU DON’T! YOU DON’T BLOODY DESERVE HER!"
Draco didn’t flinch despite the element of truth he found in that comment. “Neither do you.”
"I deserve her more than you!" shouted Ron. "If you actually cared about her, you would let her be with someone else! Someone who actually gives a damn about her-
"Oh please, Weasley," he rolled his eyes. "If you think I’m going to be some wet Hufflepuff and give her up because of some pathetic moral bullshit, then you may have just beaten Longbottom in the dumb fuck race-
"You know she shouldn’t be with you!” Ron accused. “You must’ve…I don’t know, you must’ve tricked her-
"For fuck’s sake, Weasley, if you had a brain you’d be dangerous. Granger’s a big girl, and she can make her own decisions," he said, pausing to smirk. "And she decided she wanted me. Not you.”
Hermione telling Harry about Draco.
Everyone mourning over Ted.
Melancholy is contagious.
Draco freaking out about Hermione staying with Tonks.
Tonks being all “Hermione wouldn’t omg lol no wai”
"What, like your father did?"
"TWICE, HERMIONE!" he blurted, and there was something about the way his voice cracked that made her gasp. "FUCKING TWICE!"
She blinked at him, her chest going numb as she watched him clench his eyes tight shut, as if he were in pain. “Twice what? I don’t understand.”
"I’ve had to lose you…
